This is my first picture of the Moon using my new Celestron Eight telescope. It’s a eight-inch diameter Schmidt-Cassegrain design that we inherited from Susie’s Aunt Sharon. The camera used is a Nikon D100 with an exposure of 1/200.
It’s a little bit out of focus, but I have read that pictures come out better during partial phases of the Moon and yesterday was 96% visible, so hopefully future pictures should be better. It’s also harder to focus through the camera than the eyepiece of the telescope.
Aunt Sharon, rest in peace!
Lovely..
